"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete."

Buckminster Fuller, philosopher, futurist and global thinker (1895 - 1983)

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

The Report of the U.N. Brundtland Commission, Our Common Future, 1987

"Then I say the Earth belongs to each generation during its course, fully and in its right no generation can contract debts greater than may be paid during the course of its existence"

Getting around Vlore

Buses run from the town up to the hotels on the cliff above Vlora Bay (the Uji i Ftohte area) and cost 40 lek each way

They only seem to run at certain times, however, with no return bus after 3.30 pm in the afternoon, so make sure you check out timetables.

It means you may need to take a taxi occasionally. This is around 700 lek to the seafront.

If you are arriving to Vlore with your own car, please keep in mind that it would be advisable to use monitored parking lots. It is risky to park on unlit streets and you should definitely be sure not to leave any valuable items in clear view inside your car.
